On this enchanting tour, learners will take a walk along the Seine river discovering the magic and history of central Paris.

As we walk with our local expert, we will discover the oldest part of Paris and see original foundations from Roman times. We will walk under arches built by Napoleon Bonaparte to honour his victories and along a bridge built by Gustave Eiffel, (yes the same gentleman who is best known for creating the famous Eiffel tower that take up most of the space at the Trocadero complex.)

Along our walk we'll meet street artists, musicians and theater groups performing their skills for us to enjoy. We'll walk past cafés and restaurants where people can sit down and have a coffee or a glass of wine while enjoying the view over the river Seine. Numerous shops dot the area, selling crepes, waffles, ice cream and other treats.

The walk takes us to Pont Neuf, the oldest standing bridge across the river Seine in Paris, France. From Pont Neuf we can admire Notre Dame cathedral across the river Seine. As we walk along the bridge, we will get a close-up view of the gargoyles that decorate Notre Dame. We will stop off at the medieval church of St. Germain l'Auxerrois and walk past a food market where we can catch delicious aromas coming from street kitchens cooking up crepes and waffles, before arriving at our next stop - Hotel de Ville - which is one of the most well-known landmarks in Paris.

We end the tour outside Notre Dame cathedral on Ile de la Cité with its wonderful views of Parisian monuments along side
